Attraction Information
At Cirencester Open Air Swimming Pool this unique pool uses local spring water, heated to an average of 27 degrees and open May through September annually. It is set in the charming Cotswold town of Cirencester and the pool itself is on the edge of Cirencester Park which makes great territory for a picnic and games before or after, plus there's a seasonal kiosk offering hot and cold refreshments on the sunbathing patio and you're also welcome to picnic poolside.
In addition to their 28 metre main pool with a cool little water slide they also offer a dedicated and shallow children's paddling pool and hot showers in both sets of changing rooms.
They try to maintain a great variety of swim sessions to suit all including family sessions and adult only ones, so each year the pool offers facilities for families, parents and babies as well as serious swimmers, all in their own special time slots. This is, therefore, one to use the link on and check the timetables when planning your visit.
In very poor weather the pool may close at the discretion of the Pool Manager so it's best to call ahead, but if it's borderline then simply getting the kids into a wetsuit instead of a costume for their aquatic adventure will help stave off those British summer breezes!
