Let kids loose over 105 acres, starting by joining cuddly creatures in the Farmyard with daily talks and milking demos. They could then take a trailer ride up to the giant rope park for sky high adventures, or zip back down to earth on one humongous slide straight on into the sandpit.
Chatsworth contains works of art that span 4,000 years, as well as 30 state rooms to explore. From the sculptors of ancient Rome and Egypt, through the works of Rembrandt and right up to the modern day, you can pick up an exhibition trail and collect stamps as you travel through the ages. So much to see and do!

I visited Chatsworth as a child many years ago and have always had fond memories so decided to take our kids as we were in the area. The house is as wonderful as ever (although not really for younger kids). The garden and farmyard are however very much for anyone aged between 1 week and 100 years! We were lucky with the weather, but it really was fabulous. The gardens are enormous and are so well kept. We were very much encouraged to roam where we wanted by a very helpful gardener (certainly no need to 'keep off the grass', its very much 'go where you like) which was great as we found all sorts of hidden treasures that the kids loved. There a great maze and a secret tunnel amongst lots of other things. We also went to the farmyard which has a huge adventure playground. We sat for two hours while the kids truly exhausted themselves. We will certainly be back!
Fantastic full day out for all ages

A great day for all the family! A beautiful house with extensive gardens with loads for the children to explore including a fantastic maze and willow tree fountain. Loads of places for picnics. The farmyard is small but great with a fantastic adventure playground with everything for all ages. Great shops, restaurants and facilities.

Recently took my kids to Chatsworth. Thought it looked a bit expensive initially, however we arrived at 10:30 and didnt leave until 6 (could have stayed all night)! The garden is huge and so much to see and do (kids loved splashing in the tree fountain). The farmyard and playground are great and although we bought a ticket that included the garden, playground and farmyard, you can go to just the playground and farmyard for £6 which seemed like very good value. Definitely need another trip before the summer's out.
