- Pottery Centres and Ceramic Cafes
Suitable for all ages
Venue type: Indoor
The Ceramics Cafe in Farnham welcomes up to to 47 people at a time, and this branch has been going for 10 years so you know they're doing something right!
It's the usual set up: you don't need any special level of talent or inspiration to make a family gift or personal masterpiece, just the willingness to ask and try: everything else from materials to artistic guidance is already there waiting for you!
The kids can paint while you watch, or you can all work together and make your own treasure too! There are loads and loads of differing items all pristinely white and lovely waiting for you to make your mark on them! Choose from a simple cup for a few pounds to really big and special affairs for, well, a little bit more!
Smaller kids can do hand and footprint art projects, or simple pieces that need little care. Older types have a great selection of more intricate items to personalise so whatever their taste there's something there for them!
Once you've finished your projects the item firing process is painstakingly completed on your behalf and then in 1 to 3 days yours will be ready for pick up (you'll be told in advance) and ready for gifting! Or keeping, if it's too good to share!

We love this ceramics cafe the value for money is great and the staff are on hand to help with anything you may need. They are so friendly and really go the extra mile to help you make something you will cherish. There is nearby parking but make sure to have change. The closest car park is free on a Sunday. The ceramics to choose are all displayed on a higher level so I always feel less worried about my son wandering too close or knocking things over. Tables give lots of space and plenty of tools to use so no need to worry about re-washing brushes with younger ones. My son is 5 and gets through loads of brushes but this means he can fully focus on getting creative! Pencils are great to draw on designs and then rub out if there is a mistake, you can even rub out the paint. Perfect for when my son went a bit overboard and got upset about going outside the lines. Staff are keen to share techniques to help get the best finish as the colours change during the glazing process. There are loads of examples on the walls and they will teach you the best way to use to extensive collection of stencils/sponges they have on offer. They also have paint pens so I add the finer details or edges to my son's design to make it stand out. Snacks and coffees are lovely and the staff come to you so it's easy to keep a close eye on your little one(s). All these little things just make it incredibly easy as your soul focus can be creating a beautiful ceramic and relaxing with a coffee! There's a customer sink so my son can be independent and wash his hands when the dry paint starts to irritate him! A single parent's paradise, just a lovely quiet way to spend a morning/afternoon and the finished pieces are adorable keepsakes.
