Attraction Information
Castleford Museum enjoys a playful look at the history of the town, creating a space for arts, crafts and intrigue on the top floor of the local library.
The exhibitions take inspiration from the Romans, sculpture, mining and Castleford’s illustrious sports career. And they don’t just mean rugby - their town once played host to the international marbles championships! It’s these kinds of tales which have guests getting crafty in family workshops, in free creative sessions during the school holidays, and getting hands on with the dressing-up box. The Roman soldier’s uniform goes fast though so grab it while you have the chance!
For an extra slice of fun make sure you follow the museum trail and ask the friendly staff for top tips.
