Attraction Information

Ahoy mateys! Set sail for adventure and discover hidden treasure at Calypso Cove Waterpark.

Nestled in the heart of Barnsley, South Yorkshire, lies a hidden gem that promises endless hours of splashing excitement and aquatic adventures for families of all ages. Welcome to Calypso Cove Barnsley Waterpark, where the sun always shines, and the waves are never far away!

Things To Do
Calypso Cove Barnsley is more than just a waterpark; it's a mini-tropical paradise right in the heart of South Yorkshire. Whether you're a thrill-seeker, a gentle floater, or somewhere in between, Calypso Cove has something for everyone. From twisty water slides and indoor flumes to interactive splash features and swimming pools galore!

The saltiest of sea dogs will get an adrenaline rush from their two sensational slides. Terror Torrent is the UK’s fastest flume with a pitch-black interior. This high-speed flume ride is perfect for older kids and adults looking for an adrenaline rush.

Equally as scary and for the daredevils in the family Eruption does what it says on the tin - you’ll be spewed from the belly of the volcano into the choppy depths below! There’s no such thing as lily-livered here but if you don’t feel up to the bigger rides, climb aboard the Sunken Galleon, a pirate-themed play zone. You can slide into the shallow end or fire the water cannon at enemy hordes!

Take a chance and Walk the Plank on the top diving board as you plummet to the diving pool. Or splash around in the central wave pool, as you enjoy gentle and wonderful waves.
For those seeking a bit of competition, the Splash Ahoy! play area is a hit with families. It's a watery wonderland with interactive features, cannons, and giant tipping buckets that promise endless laughs and challenges for kids of all ages.

There's plenty of pools and thrilling water slides at Calypso Cove Barnsley for the whole family to enjoy. Whether you pop along during the school holidays or on the weekend! It's one of the best water parks in the UK, for both BIG thrills, little thrills and a relaxing experience.

Swimming lessons are available and toddlers and younger kids (pirates in training) can have a paddle in Coconut Creek. It’s a safe spot to grow confidence in the water.

Small Thrills
If you prefer a more relaxed pace for the little ones, then the baby pool at Barnacle Bay is a fun haven packed with small thrills. From mini-slides to interactive water features - it's a splash-tastic adventure.

Safety First
At Calypso Barnsley Cove, safety is a top priority. The waterpark boasts a team of highly trained lifeguards who keep a vigilant eye on all activities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Life jackets are available for those who need them, and staff members are always on hand to answer any questions or address concerns.

Celebrate Special Occasions
Calypso Barnsley Cove is not only for regular visits. It's also a fantastic place to celebrate birthdays and special occasions.

They offer party packages that include exclusive access to party rooms, delicious meals, and, of course, plenty of time to enjoy the water attractions. Booking a birthday party at Calypso Cove ensures a memorable day for your child and their friends.

Food & Drink
To complete the perfect island getaway, wash everything down with grog ‘n’ grub at The Hideout Diner. Plus, Calypso Cove Barsnely offers birthday packages to suit all budding buccaneers!

The Hideout offers a variety of delicious meals, from hearty burgers to lighter salads. They also have a dedicated children's menu with kid-approved options, making sure even the pickiest eaters are satisfied.

For those who prefer to bring their own snacks or have dietary restrictions, there's a designated picnic area where you can enjoy a family feast. Remember to stay hydrated and drink plenty of water throughout your visit, especially on hot and sunny days.

Staying hydrated is crucial, so bring water bottles or refillable containers. You can also pack some snacks for a quick energy boost between water adventures.
