Attraction Information
Mull is Scotland's most dramatic island, with hig mountain peaks and steep cliffs, edged by 300 miles of rocky coastline. Calgary Bay is sweeping wide sanded beach tucked between two craggy headlands, it's backed by grassy machair with wooded slopes beyond.
The beach tends to be quite quiet due to it's seclusion, and immediate facilities are limited to toilets with disabled access. The shallow, aquamarine waters slope away gently and are safe for bathing (though there is no lifeguard cover) while off the rocks you can angle for rock cod, mackerel and sea trout. Basking sharks, dolphins seals and porpoises are regularly sighted off the coast.
There is a wild camping site to the edge of the beach.
