Attraction Information
Highlights at the lovely Brockhill Country Park indubitably include feeding ducks at the lake, having a crack the new adventure playground and spotting the meadow butterflies at the Postling Down end, but there's so much mixed terrain here to cover it's a surprisingly entertaining nature walk too.
If you're feeling energetic you can explore the whole park on a formal circular trail which takes in woodland, parkland and charming country lanes, all offering their differing types of mini beast and bird life. Fairly accessible, okay enough for a robust push chair but wheelchair users may struggle with parts of the route.
Brockhill Country Park was previously part of a large estate that dates back to Norman times. The old manor house is now part of Brockhill School, and is located next to the park. There are no real amenities here so why not go proper old school and take a big picnic, bats and balls, and a frisbee! It's also great for a bit of sketching or photography if you've kids that way inclined.
