At the British Golf Museum you can explore the players, tournaments and equipment, both past and present, which help to make golf the game it is today. You will be transported down a pathway of surprising facts and striking feats from 500 years of golf history. Using diverse displays and exciting exhibits, the Museum traces the history of the game, both in Britain and abroad, from the Middle Ages to the present day.
The collection contains over 16,000 items, including medals and trophies, balls, clothing and clubs, decorative art, plus film and photographs.
Learn about the role of clothing, leading amateurs, and life in a golf clubhouse, which is more than just a place to store equipment and get changed!
Encounter many famous professionals, amateurs of status, Kings and Queens and other curious golfing characters. Find out more about the evolution of equipment and marvel at the symbols of success on display. A mix of ancient and modern, fact and feat mean there is something for everyone!
