Look out over the beautiful Brighton seafront as you slowly ascend to the top of the British Airways i360. Positioned close to Brighton's historic West Pier, the i360 is the tallest moving observation tower in the world and has already made it into Guinness World Records.
If you feel like you need to know more about the British Airways i360, download the free multilingual app before you board! You can see how the tower was built and experience a fun pre-ride show. When you board the pod, the app will help you to work out which landmarks are which – useful if riding the i360 is a holiday treat!
For kids, there's an in-app treasure hunt and a fun fact corner. Don't despair if you don't have a way to download the app though—there's queue entertainment and family activities and events to keep everyone entertained in the summer holidays.
The prime attraction is the viewing pod that moves slowly up the tower; it can hold up to 200 people and, as it's made of floor-to-ceiling glass, gives you amazing views across the ocean.
The pod takes 20 full minutes to go from the bottom to the top of the tower, so you won't miss a single staggering view across beautiful Brighton and Hove.
But the i360 isn't just the tower. It's also got a great restaurant in the beach building, full of food made from local Brighton produce, created by Brighton's own Masterchef: The Professionals winner! If you're in the mood for something lighter, it also has the beautifully reconstructed West Pier Tea Rooms and a more casual beach café. The kids can let off some steam while the adults dine, in the i360's soft play area for under-8s. Complete with a party room, the play rooms are due to open in 2017.
