Get ready to take a magical tour through the wonders of the ocean and uncover the secrets the waters hold! You don’t want to miss out on the chance to visit over 40 naturally themed displays at Bristol Aquarium. And the UK's only Aquarium with a giant Botanical House!

So, not only is your family day blessed with coloured fish, marine life species and living displays. But also tropical tree species and exotic plants!

Bristol Aquarium

Watch as thousands of amazing aquatic creatures glide through the water. Including seahorses, pufferfish, piranhas, babymoon jellyfish and more. You’ll feel as though you're diving straight into the Great Barrier Reef as you journey through the Bay of Rays, the Mighty Amazon and the Coral Seas!

With hundreds of species of aquatic wildlife to discover, you'll be darting your heads left, right and above over and over again, as you try to take it all in! From baby seahorses, and tropical sharks like zebra sharks, to lots of fish, and an ocean display!

Then wander through the Underwater Tunnel and marvel at the sharks and fish swimming above your head. Did you know it's full of 250,000 litres of water? This massive display is home to various ray species, like the Cownose Rays, as well as eels, soldierfish and a range of coral reef fish. Like Nemo the clownfish or Dory the blue tang! The coral reef is also home to sea anemones as well as other exotic fish.

Urban Jungle

When you finally head back to dry land venture through the huge Urban Jungle. With lush plants blossoming around you and a warm environment, you'll feel like you've gone abroad! Not to mention you'll be craning your necks up to witness the towering tree species above you!

Don't forget about the Amazing Amazon as you walk along a multi-level walkway over an open-top Amazon display. With 60,000 litres of freshwater, you'll spot river fish, as well as catfish, string rays and giant pacu! Not forgetting the yellow-bellied turtles on Turtle Bay Island!

It's an exhibit not to be missed, as Bristol is the only aquarium in the UK to feature a giant botanical house!

Food & Drink

Feeling hungry? Head to the delightful cafe, C-Shed Cafe, for nautically themed decor and tempting food. From a range of saucy pizzas, deli sandwiches, toasties, paninis and lots of sweet treats.

From cakes, scones and cookies to muffins, fruit and even crisps - no one leaves hungry at Bristol Aquarium.

Due to Bristol Aquarium being a city centre attraction, there is no on-site parking. Millennium Square Car Park is the closest car park (2-minute walk).
