Attraction Information
Border Ice Rink is a rare treat, in that with all the curling and skating clubs they host there are very limited times in which you can just go for a skid about. However if you can get in when they are open you'll find a welcoming environment, excellent facilities and all the equipment you need is here for hire, so all you need to bring is yourselves in some warm comfortable clothes, preferably with light gloves.
They have Come and Try sessions where anyone interested in starting skating or curling can have a go at it in a supportive environment. There are lessons run by the local Skate Club too, Sundays from 12:15pm to 2:15pm (October to March) which you must of course pre book for. Plus friendly RCCC qualified coaches are on hand to engage with the Junior and Adult coaching sessions for curling too, so if you've got the will they've got the power and there's no excuse not to make this your new family hobby!
Wheelchair coaching and curling is available here on demand so register with them if it's something you'd like to get in on, if enough ask they will put one on.
Opening Times
Public Skating Sundays 2.45pm to 5.15pm and Ice Disco Saturdays 6pm to 8:30pm only! So be on time!
