6 things you must know before visiting The Deep:
Prebook - it’s so busy during the holidays if you haven’t, and entry won't be guaranteed.
When you first come out of the lifts, take a second to double back on yourself and look out over the estuary through the big windows. You can see loads!
Feeding time in the lagoon tank is a must, as is the really big tank - check the times online and try to coordinate your visit.
The cafe half way round is perfect for a cuppa and a piece of cake, but make sure you take cash as the card machines aren't always working!
Biggest tip of all: EVERYONE queues for the lift, which travels up through the tank - don’t do it!! Walk up the stairs to leave, if you can. The lift is such a let down, or it was for us. Over in a minute, and if you want to see your favourite sea creature then you might miss them in the wrong part of the tank. Each level has a big viewing window and you can sit for as long as you like, watching the big sharks, turtle, sawfish and more. It’s 100% better than the lift and there is no queue!
- Look out for special events, these often run in the holidays or around seasonal events, and are a great way to add even more fun to your day out!
