Day Out With The Kids gets all sorts of feedback; some good, some bad, and some straight from Jason Manford! To celebrate our celeb spot we thought we’d whip Mr Manford up his very own guide to Manchester. With 5 of the very best attractions in the area, we can only hope it fits the needs of this modern-day Mancunian.

Half-term advice for Jason Manford in Manchester

  1. Manchester City FC Experience

Turns out money can buy you happiness, especially for you City fans, but luckily this day out won’t cost anywhere near as much a decent squad. Go behind the scenes of your team at the Manchester City FC Experience, checking out the view from the Director’s Seating, practising your interview technique in the press conference room hot seat and heading into the City dressing room for a pep talk. Then, it’s out onto the pitch to the roar of matchday, something which you know all too well, but we're sure the kids will love too!

  2. Legoland Discovery Centre

Nothing tops the pain caused by standing on a LEGO brick, but we know you’ll be far too busy showing off your new singing talents in LEGO themed karaoke to worry about that… With over 2 million bricks, a LEGO driving school, a 4D cinema and loads more, there’s nothing old-fashioned about this day out. Plus with it being ideal for kids aged 3-10, Legoland Discovery Centre is great for the whole Manford clan.

  3. Lancaster Park and Animal Farm

Take your family to Lancaster Park and Animal Farm where they’ll get to race at Rooster Rally, use a mini-JCB, and take a safe trip on a quad kart. Make sure to visit the animals at the farm where they’ll most likely be playing the pigs the latest copy of your album, Jason Manford: A Different Stage, apparently it relaxes them…

  4. Total Adrenaline Trampoline Park

Your family should bounce on down to Total Adrenaline. A local trampoline park that will get them all tired before bedtime - perfect. There are three fun zones which are suitable for different ages, so it will perfect for all of your children. With dodgeball, speed tracks and a tumble wall there’s no chance anyone will be bored.

Trampoline Parks are a great half-term day out

  5. Heaton Park

Rather than heading to an indoor attraction, head over to Heaton Park, with 640 acres of open space. There’s a children’s play area, plenty of animals, a boating lake and loads more to keep the kids entertained. With that much space to play with, we'll bet a comedian can come up with some pretty good games...
