Venue type: Outdoor
Tucked away in the Kentish countryside, Betteshanger Park is 200 acres of regenerated parkland, packed with activities, walks and wildlife.
You and your little adventurers can explore the area with a spot of geocaching and orienteering, or speed along cycle tracks and mountain trails. Keep an eye out for owls, frogs, water voles and more, and enjoy the gorgeous woodlands and reedbeds. You could take some time to build a den, have a picnic or enjoy a screening at the open air cinema. Just but be sure to introduce yourself to some of the more ancient elements of the park by going fossil hunting. A past visitor found a rare, millipede-like, arthropod fossil, so get digging and see what treasures are there for the picking!
Brand new to Betteshanger and fresh from the US is Archery Tag. Players divide into teams and chase each other around inflatable bunkers with specially designed foam-tipped bows. That description might inspire visions of the Hunger Games but it’s totally safe and all players are given thorough briefings.
