Attraction Information
Bekonscot Model Village is the world’s oldest model village, comprised of six teeny tiny towns. This miniature 1930s microcosm has more than 200 buildings, 3,000 inhabitants and 1,000 animals - just be sure your littluns don’t get lost in there!
Tour the town and marvel at the scale and detail involved. There are lots of little hidden gems in there for visitors to pick out. Spot cable cars, farms, aerodromes, castles, a railway, coal mines and even escaped convicts! Not only is it great fun but it’s all for a fantastic cause. Bekonscot is a not-for-profit organisation which sends its earnings to needy charities around the UK. It’s also educational and shows how ‘they’ did it way back when.
There is also a tearoom and picnic area, 1.5 acres of glorious gardens and a Ride On Railway which weaves its way around the grounds. Top tip: Did you know that Queen Elizabeth spent her birthday here in the 1930s? Your little kings and queens can do the same by renting the log cabin.
