Attraction Information
Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Visitor Centre provides a great opportunity to find out about the Battle of Britain and to see a number of historic aircraft at close quarters, including 2 chipmunks, 2 hurricanes and 6 spitfires!
You will also get to see one of only 2 Lancasters that remains in airworthy condition, plus a Douglas Dakota ZA947. You may also get to see RAF technicians working on some of these planes to keep them in an airworthy condition.
The Hangar Tours are led by enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteer guides, some of whom have first hand experience of the aircraft. The tours last about one and a half hours and gives you a great chance to appreciate this living tribute to all the RAF ground crew and aircraft crew who gave their lives during WWII.
