Hidden away in old Aberdeen lies a collection of whale bones, snake skins and ancient animal skulls. A vast stock that will excite mini-explorers, scientists and animal lovers alike. Get up and close with history and enjoy a day out that will entertain both child and parent. At the end of the trip both you and your child will be experts on protozoa, fluid-preserved specimens and even taxidermy!

You can also marvel at the stunning Scottish scenery at the Cruickshank Botanic Garden, or learn how to help your local wildlife thrive at the Aberdeen Biodiversity Centre. Cant believe it was free 5 out of 5 stars

Had a great time - we took a picnic and ate in the garden kids were fascinated found frogs kn the ponds seen deer in yhe garden and seen stuffed animals we never knew existed. My girls weee 4,6,14 & 17 something for everyone - cant believe it was all free - great day out x
