If your kids love all things fluffy, Winwick Barn Alpacas is the place for them. This family run farm lets visitors get up close and cuddly with a gang of Alpacas; the challenge will be saying goodbye at the end of the day!
A day out here begins with meeting the herd. Joseph, Archibald and Apollo are a few of the walking team and love being fed a tasty snack in family hand-feeding sessions. Then there’s the newest addition to the family: Tiny Weeny, who is reportedly ‘the cutest alpaca on the planet’! Kids can enjoy a stroke of his fabulous fleece.
Once everyone is introduced, your alpaca will be haltered and you’ll be talked through how to handle them - plus even have a chance for a selfie! Then you can take your newfound fuzzy friend on a gentle group walk around the farm. Refreshments will be available afterwards and you’ll be able to browse a small selection of alpaca products. The owners, Michael and Jay, will do everything they can to make sure you have a fantastic, furry day out.
