Attraction Information
TRSS approved Tomintoul Riding Centre offer guided off road 1 hr or half day treks as well as day long trail rides and 6 day trail riding holidays, all in the splendour of the Cairngorm National Park! Riding with your family along peaceful traffic-free forest tracks, scenic hill paths and open moorland, and even cross the River Avon! And the whole time you'll be accompanied by an experienced and supportive guide who will happily ensure your ride is both safe and enjoyable throughout. Their horses are experienced and friendly too! They have horses to suit all types of rider requirement: including gentle, steady Highland Ponies to look after the novice rider, quiet Eriskay Ponies plus well-mannered Thoroughbred and Arab cross breeds for the more experienced riders to enjoy!
Plus if you're mad for it and fancy a horsey holiday, you can use the deal they've got with Argyle House in Tomintoul to arrange an all inclusive riding holiday! It may be helpful to know that part of the trekking plan would be through the Glenlivet Estate which boasts a huge adventure playground, plus skiing, fishing, mountain biking and hiking opportunities. So there are plenty of supporting activities if you decide to stay for the duration!
