Attraction Information
Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital Visitor's Centre is an excellent places for kids to meet and learn about a variety of British wildlife and also about the specialist hospital which looks after them free of charge. Kids can find out about how they either release animals back to the wild when they are fit, or gives them a home if not.
Information is provided in a variety of formats and there is an educational trail to follows which takes you around the gardens, past the pond and to the deer paddocks. This is a great opportunity for kids to discover some of Britain's elusive wildlife and get an insight into their treatment.
There are a large variety of habitats to explore, which are the homes to animals such as hedgehogs, rabbits and deer. These include a rockery, waterfall and a bog pond for amphibians.
The kids can also go inside and visit two of the busy hospital wards, both of which have viewing windows so they can see some of the patients being cared for without disturbing them. There is a bone exhibition to see, plus a live link to their Xray suite to allow you to look through a variety of xrays that have been taken! (Get it?)
