Attraction Information

The Ark at Crawcrook is a new soft play centre in Gateshead. Our Ark themed play frame has three floors which include a 4 seater wavy slide, a steep curly slide, and a zip wire. The play frame is suitable for children aged up to 12 years old but it is capable of taking adults so parents can have a go too!

Each week new animals appear on the Ark, have fun trying to find them all.

We have a small baby and toddler corner with a variety of age appropriate toys.

Our sensory room is equipped with bubble tubes, lighting effects, sound, video projection, mirrored ceiling and cushioned floor and walls. Suitable for under 3s and children with special needs and/or disabilities.

The conservatory garden cafe is a tranquil place to enjoy our range of hot and cold snacks, light lunches and Fairtrade speciality teas and coffees. These drinks and snacks are also available in the play area.

Every week (including school holidays) we hold exclusive play sessions for children and adults with special needs and disabilities called “SNAP!” (Special Needs Accessible Play). These alternate between Tuesdays 1:30pm to 3pm and Thursdays 4pm to 6pm. (see online for dates) Admission prices are reduced for these sessions.
