An Introduction to the Farm...
Located in in Orpington, Kent Hewitt's Farm offers pick-your-own activities all year round from a variety of fruits in the summer to splendid pumpkin picking in the chillier months. You can also pick a wide variety of fruit and vegetables in the Autumn like Sweetcorn, Courgettes, Spinach, Red chard, Yellow chard, Beetroot, Cooking apples, and Eating apples too! And in the Winter? Expect a flurry of tall and elegant Christmas Trees waiting to become the centrepiece of a family home.
This 78-acre family-run farm has been running for the last 45 years and the farm has been in use for hundreds of years before. If you don't fancy picking your own goods you may as well just purchase some local goods from the Farm Shop. Here, you'll find everything from local honey to fresh fruits, vegetables, pure apple juice, and organic free-range farm eggs.

Now that you're a little more familiar with what Hewitt's Farm is and its history, let's get our teeth into the exciting part...PUMPKIN PICKING!
PYO pumpkins are open from 1st October and there is no booking required, so just turn up! Just make sure you arrive on time before the last entry as you will not be allowed to participate. Alongside big juicy pumpkins, you'll find other 'bumper crops' during the Autumn time too like marrows (you can also buy these from the farm shop). And if you haven't already, make sure to check out the farm's famous squashes - they begin around the middle of September.
And if it's extra thrills you're after, make sure to check out the kids' and adults' Halloween events on-site - the Kent Scare Ground!
This pick-your-own-produce farm is an excellent family day out for families and who knows all the delicious pumpkin potions and meals you can make out of your crops? Will it be the pumpkin jam, or pumpkin soup or will you carve a big scary face in it to ward off Halloween spirits...
You don't need to pay for entry to the farm just pay for what you pick.

There is a farm shop on site selling scrumptious local produce from fruit and vegetables, honey, farm eggs, fruit juice and so much more.
No picnics are allowed on the farm.
