Plymouth Pavilions Ice Rink

Plymouth Pavilions Ice Rink offers a classic family ice skating experience on a spacious rink with good quality skate hire ranging from children's' size 6 to adults' size 15.

There are a variety of sessions types on offer from the tots' sessions to the disco ones, ice hockey to group lessons plus of course general public skate times so there's bound to be something for your group in there!

Quite charmingly they not only have skating aids to support little learners, and they not only have them variety and abundance, but they all have their own names too! Choose from the 5 seals, 10 polar bears and 11 penguins who will help you stay upright while you find your feet for £5 a session.

Don't let the kids set their hearts on particular animals before you get there though, as they're allocated based on height and they may not get what they were hoping for.

Ice skating is a great activity for more active families to enjoy together which is not only a good laugh and entertaining but also ultimately increases fitness, balance and grace. Sure everyone starts out like Bambi but most take to it every bit as fast as they do with roller skating so don't be shy and give it a crack! Should we say that on ice…?

Elsewhere on site there's the performance side of the Pavilions to experience too, with a wonderful selection of shows and musicals year round, many of them eminently suitable for the family.
