Attraction Information
Mill Green Mill and Museum is a fascinating place for children and adults. There has been a mill on our site for a thousand years, and we still work in the traditional way. You can see the whole process, water turning the wheel and the huge wooden gear wheels turning the stones to grind flour which flows into the sacks. Our millers are happy to talk to you about how it works. See if you can find graffiti in the mill written by our millers over a hundred years ago! Buy some of our delicious organic flour to take home and bake potty pizzas or luscious loaves.
The miller's old cottage houses our three exhibition galleries, and we always include childrens activities and dressing up, so there's something for everyone.
Every school holiday we run drop in craft activities for children and at Easter and in the summer we have big family breadmaking events in the garden, plus our famous Teddy Bears Fun day: bring your teddy and a picnic and enjoy Punch and Judy, crafts and games, storytelling, face painting and lots more
Every Sunday from Easter Sunday we serve cream teas in our garden, and there are usually craft demonstrators showing their skills too.
