Dewsbury Sports Centre, run by Kirklees Active Leisure (KAL), is located a 5 minute walk away from Dewsbury Bus Station and 10 minute's walk from Dewsbury Railway Station, making it easy to reach as well as being a great all weather attraction. A number of activities are available, and it is a great place to go for a swim.
The centre has a large teaching pool (33m x 12.5m or 108ft x 41ft) ) and a small pool (12.5m x 12.5m or 41ft x 41 ft) with a 45m (147ft 7in) flume adjacent to it. The pools are open all day and offer a wide variety of sessions at various times. Sessions include Public Swim, Fun Swim (with slide), Aqua Babies, KAL Swim Academy and more do it is a good idea to check the online timetable before your visit. The Changing Village is family friendly.
KAL offer plenty of other great fitness activities for children at Dewsbury Sports Centre including KAL Kickers, Gymnastics, Judo, Archery, Teen Gym, Smash Up, Trampolines, Active Club, and a number of dance classes. All KAL activities are led by fully qualified instructors with plenty of experience who have been DBS checked. This is a great chance for kids to learn a new skill, improve an existing one, and meet new friends.
