Attraction Information

There’s no need to be an artist at Chessell Pottery Barns; simply cover yourself in colour and let those creative juices flow!

Your design in wholly in your hands: choose a piece of pottery - homemade or supplied exclusively by Emma Bridgewater - pick some colours and go! You could ask for some professional advice but by no means are you hemmed in with a boring old polka dot - splish and splash as much as you like! There’s a wide array of hand cut decorating sponges including the likes of ladybirds, fairies, flowers and dinosaurs. The studio fee covers all the tools, as well as glazing and firing. It’s just a lovely, relaxed environment where you can work at your leisure.

During the school hols the team run special kids events and every week host Baby’s Tuesdays, with parents printing their newborn’s footprints. Guests can chill out in the café with a light lunch or luxurious cream tea. You can also enjoy a pretty outside courtyard and gift shop
