Attraction Information

Armadale Castle and Grounds

The 20,000-acre Clan Donald Skye highland estate is home to the Armadale Castle Ruins surrounded by a 40 acres woodland garden.

There you will also find a Museum of the Isles with six interconnecting galleries, each with their own theme and childrens trail, to take you through 1500 years of the history and culture of the area once known as the Kingdom of the Isles. A seventh gallery hosts an exhibition that changes each year.

There are a series of nature trails at Armadale, a number of which are accessible to pushchairs, leading beyond the elegant gardens into areas of beautiful mixed woodlands.

To keep the kids occupied theres a guided treasure hunt around the nature trails which form part of the estate. Every entrant receives their treasure at the end!

There is also a restaurant, gift shop and lively Visitors Centre.
