Allostock Miniature Railway, which is based at All In One Garden Centre Knutsford, is a 7.25” gauge railway built by enthusiast Chris Halsall that was awarded the title of ‘Cheshire's Best Garden Railway Station' in 2009. It is a lovely little attraction that is a must if you are in the area especially if you've got little chuff heads in tow!
The train meanders throughout the garden centre site and lasts around 10 minutes, taking you through the main sales area, then in a large loop around the growing area, up the hill behind the engine sheds, past the putting green and back through the station before switching to the small loop past the front of the engine shed, through the tunnel and back round to the station.
At Christmas time, the train is transformed into the Santa Express. It is lit up by garlands of cute fairy lights and pushes Santa's sleigh along with 3 reindeers, to provide cool trips to Santa's grotto!
The garden centre also offers a 9 hole miniature golf course, a children's play area, and a self drive Toby the Tram, which is popular with younger children. A cafe on site might tempt you too so there's enough here to fill a happy afternoon at the least: enjoy!

Would have given it 0 stars if I could. This location closed down in June 2016 and is up for sale. Confirmed by High Legh garden centre railway. Hope somebody gets it going again, it was good there.

Unfortunately, this attraction is now closed

We're sad to see it go!
