Attraction Information
Achmelvich Beach is a white sandy beach busy in the summer as it's a popular spot with water skiers, windsurfers and kayakers plus fishing is permitted in the Blue Flag Awarded waters.
The waters are considered safe for shallow family swimming but there is no lifeguard cover.
Local amenities are limited to 2 campsites, no touristy stuff, though the terrain varies quickly providing interesting hiking nearby. Dogs are not permitted on the beach during the peak tourist season and neither of the camping and caravan sites allow dogs.
It's quite isolated so the sat nav is aiming just to get you close: please plan the end of your journey thoroughly and independently.
