Floors Castle (8 miles)

Play on the adventure playground, binge on perennials in the Walled Garden, plus spot woodpeckers and red squirrels on the forest and river walks. Blissful!
Lochcarron of Scotland Visitor Centre Take a tour of a hugely successful working textile mill, museum and visitor centre and you can find out how many goats you need for a jumper, watch proper catwalk samples being made and see the world's largest range of Pure New Wool Tartans!

Philiphaugh Salmon Viewing Centre Visit the Salmon Centre and watch live footage from the Cauld: you might just spot a wild Salmon battling it's way through the water! There is also a brass rubbing nature trail, fully restored working waterwheel, and wildlife such as otters, red squirrel, roe deer, badgers, bats, owls, heron and foxes.

ReBoot Disc Golf Course is a family friendly 9-hole disc golf course. If you have thrown a Frisbee and played golf, you are ready for some disc golf. Disc golf is easy to learn, enjoyed from the onset, and fun for all ages and abilities.
Belhaven Bay (27 miles)
Belhaven Bay Sandy beach with good swimming and surfing, and excellent cliff views with nesting birds. Also popular with kite fliers. Limited immediate amenities.
Prestongrange Museum A museum site of major importance in the story of Scotland's Industrial Revolution, you can still see the remnants of glass works, potteries, coal mine and brick works, as well as the Hoffman Kiln and the unique Cornish Beam Engine. Games, toys and trails keep children occupied inside and out.
East Links Family Park Features a train safari where you can feed the farm animals, pony rides and small animal handling zone. For play there are go karts, toboggan run and giant maze plus soft play and trampolining indoors!
Gosford Sands (27 miles)
Gosford Sands A fairly isolated sand and shingle beach, good for bird watching as it is a haven for waders, kite flying and coastal walking.
