Ardardan Estate It is a working farm actual so animal interaction is kept to a minimum, though they can still be viewed. It's more about the pleasing woodland walks, enjoying the walled garden etc., so probably a stop for smaller, less expectant kids.
Loch Lomond National Nature Reserve This loch is famous for its beautiful wooded shores and islands. The reserve embraces 5 of the loch's islands, ideal for exploring and enjoying the flora and fauna. Lovely!
Battery Park There are two children'ÂÂÂÂs play areas, a skateboard park, and two grass pitches for football and rugby. The park is also home to two of Inverclyde Leisure'ÂÂs astroturf pitches and a pavilion with toilet facilities and cafeteria.
Balloch Castle Country Park Nice for exploring and has a great enclosed play area, there are ruins dotted about and a beautiful walled garden. Not a full day's worth but a nice spot for a picnic and some kite flying.
Gourock Park Young children can enjoy the petsâÂÂÂÂ corner and substantial play area, while mum and dad can enjoy the array of plants and shrubs in the walled garden. There's also an outdoor pool nearby.
Barshaw Park A 55 acre traditional park located 1 mile east from the centre of Paisley, Renfrewshire. The recreational ground provides facilities suitable for all age groups to enjoy including walks, walled garden, nature corner, play area and many more. Attached to the park is also an 18 hole golf course.
Gleniffer Braes Country Park Approximately 480 acres in size, three miles long and one mile wide. It is an upland park, mainly of moorland but it also has woodland parts and hill farming areas. The park is located just over 2 miles from the centre of Paisley .
