Draycote Water Country Park Whether you come to unwind or have fun, there's plenty for all at Draycote Water. Activities range from birdwatching and game fishing to walking and water sports. Dogs are only allowed in the Country Park.

Hartsholme Country Park even off season the range of slides, climbing walls, swings and roundabouts are more than sufficient to keep most kids happy but you can also check out annual events and seasonal specials in this Green Flag Awarded park.

Irchester Country Park This former ironstone quarry has a wonderful children's play area as well as a network of long and short trails through 83 hectares of mixed woodland. Also home to the Quarryman's Rest Cafe, Jungle Parc UK and the Irchester Narrow Gauge Railway museum.
Clumber Park With 3,800 acres of parkland, gardens, woodlands and a lake, 20 miles of cycle routes and bike hire, plus a Discovery Centre, and a Woodland Play Park. Visit the Discovery Centre to see what childrens activities they are offering during the holidays. This National Trust managed Estate offers lots to do.
Abington Park Big park with historical features and duck pond, plus big playground and over 7s' fitness trail, the Abingdon Museum and a sensory garden! Loos, cafe and bowling greens too.

Hall Leys Park A great park in the heart of Matlock with bowling greens, children’s boating lake, interactive play area, miniature railway and a skateboard park. There are also tennis courts and a putting green. Free to visit.
Beacon Park Several play areas, crazy and proper golf, plus a shiny new skatepark, pond dipping, kids' mission trail and loads of sporting facilities. Oh, and a park!
