"what are we doing today?"

The Museum runs a packed events and activities programme suitable for all ages.

Activities include Tiny Talk times for toddlers, craft activities for school children, family events days and art courses for adults.

The Museum is committed to running good exhibitions linked to the local area. All exhibitions are designed to be interactive as well as informative.

A self service refreshment area in the 1920’s kitchen provides hot & cold drinks, snacks and ice creams

healthy food

Healthy snacks – such as dried fruit, water and fruit juices are always on sale

"Can I have one of those?"

A range of products including pocket money ranges, books, gifts, postcards, gift cards. We aim to stock affordable products of good quality

"i need a wee"

Fully accessible toilet with baby changing facilities. Toddler stool

and baby come too...

We do not sell any baby food but would be happy to provide warm water to heat milk. Breast feeding mothers are welcome to feed wherever they feel comfortable, there are plenty of seating areas across the site.

"are we there yet?"

Just north of the Town Centre. By Road Travel towards Amersham on the A404. Take the first left turning past the station into Priory Road, next left into the Greenway and the Museum is at the bottom of the Greenway as it joins Priory Avenue. By Rail The Museum is just a short walk from the Station. On leaving the Station turn right onto Amersham Hill, walk over the rail bridge and turn immediately left onto Priory Avenue ( no access to cars). The Museum is on the next corner on the as Priory Avenue joins the Greenaway By Bus Many buses travel up Amersham Hill or to the station, including 2,31,33,345,348,362,363,372 and 393

* In good weather why not bring a picnic and enjoy the beautiful Museum Gardens. * Try your hand at Quoits. Outdoor games can be borrowed from the Museum reception. * Look out for our regular Event days and Summer Holiday activities. There is plenty on offer for everyone * Steps up the Norman Motte are steep but it’s great fun to explore
