Wordsworth House and Garden
At Wordsworth House you can meet the servants, help them with their daily jobs (how do you fancy emptying the chamber pot?) and cook historic goodies in the working Georgian kitchen.
Do a trail or computer quiz, try on costume or play with the sort of toys William and his sister Dorothy may have had.
Art and craft activities, storytelling and competitions run in the school holidays. Why not bring a picnic and have your lunch in the beautiful garden that inspired many of William’s poems?
Café’s available nearby. The Trout terrace bar offers £20 off food with a ticket from the house.
A range of gifts, postcards and local products available.
We have a pocket money range for children.
