Amongst it's other delights Whin Park boasts 4 separate adventure play areas within it's confines and the fun physical play equipment includes zip lines, crashed plane feature and climbing structures with slides, plus plenty more.
It's a great selection ideal for kids 3 to 10 (ish!). There is also an adult sized trim trail with grown up versions of assault course style equipment which is ideal for active grown up and well sized for teenagers who just want in on the fun!
Elsewhere in the park you can visit the ducks in the boating pond (take a model boat along if you have one!) or catch the train from the Ness Islands narrow gauge railway: the most northerly one of it's kind in the country! Plus with plenty of loos, shops and toilets you're well catered for to take even the more demanding ones along. Yes, dad, that's you! (We jest.)
There's also a toddler oriented Whinter Wonderland feature every December, that's apparently free to attend and has won several awards! Bonus!
If you've had fun on your family day out to Whin Park, tell us about it your visit, so other people will know it's a great place to go as well.
It may be worth checking out Whin Park's website to see if there are any special events or seasonal fun things to do that may be going on during the day.
