"what are we doing today?"

Westport Lake Play Area
The new children's play area is located next to the car park off Westport Lake Road.

The newly opened play area has a large colourful butterfly on the safety surfacing and an array of exciting play equipment, including the fort climbing frame, swings, a merry-go-round, springy animals, slides and a rotating circular seat. The play area is part of Westport Lake.
Westport Lake is an important overwintering site for many water birds and unusual species are known to stop-off at the lake during migration. The conservation area at the northern end of the site is home to many animals including shovellers, kingfishers and dragonflies. The conservation area is open to walkers but not anglers. The main lake is surrounded by a good, level footpath which is one mile long.
