Tower of London Treasure Trail

"what are we doing today?"

St Katharine Docks and the Tower of London: a Treasure Hunt Walking Trail

Treasure Trails' self-guided treasure hunts are a fantastic way to explore areas of the City and London Boroughs whilst enjoying a fun walk in the fresh air.

Children love competing to solve the clues and don't even realise they are learning about the area and getting some exercise!

You'll always find more than you were looking for!
The answers to the clues are located on existing monuments, buildings and structures: some are easy to find, some are a little bit trickier! You can choose to solve a mystery, go on a treasure hunt or crack the code to save the world in a spy mission. All the while, you are opening children's and adults' eyes alike to the fascinating city around them, and working as a team to solve the clues.

After you have completed the Trail you can enter your answer online to be in with a chance of winning a cash prize.

The Trail starts at Tower Hill Tube Station and takes around an hour and a half to complete, leading you round the picturesque and historic docks next to Tower Bridge and finishing near to the Tower of London.

Most of our Trails are suitable for wheelchairs; please check our website for more details. Unfortunately the St Katharine Docks Trail is not suitable for wheelchairs due to unavoidable flights of steps en route.

"i'm hungry"

There are many restaurants, cafes and pubs along the St Katharine Docks route giving you lots of choice for eating and drinking. Discounts may be available to trailgoers in some of these establishments.

"i need a wee"

There are public toilets along the route with baby changing facilities.

"are we there yet?"

The St Katharine Docks Trail begins and ends close to Tower Hill Tube Station, on the London Underground District and Circle Lines.

...got any top tips?

Trails take around two hours to complete and can be downloaded and printed at home or ordered as a booklet to be posted from the Treasure Trails website. Going on holiday? Why not order a couple of Trails before you go? You'll have lots of fun and will see a lot more of the local area. Keep up to date with London Treasure Trails as they develop on Facebook's 'Treasure Trails Greater London' page, where you will also find news of shows and events we are attending. Contact Treasure Trails Greater London for information about Treasure Hunt parties and group events.
