Thorp Perrow Gardens, Falcons & Meerkats

Situated in the Yorkshire Dales, not far from the historic town of Bedale, Thorp Perrow is an exciting place to explore offering regular falcon and bird of prey flying demonstrations and giving visitors the opportunity to handle eagles, falcons, hawks, vultures and owls from all five continents of the world, under the guidance of our trained staff.

Demonstrations second to none, including lively and informative commentary, are held three times daily, weather permitting, at 11.30 am, 1.30 pm, 3.30 pm.
The mammal centre has a wide assortment of animals including meerkats, wallabies, ostriches, Belgian hares, red squirrels and goats and visitors can get right up close to them all during the regular guided tours and feeding times.
This is all amongst the finest collection of trees and shrubs in the country and set in 85 acres of gardens. The perfect place for you and your kids to have an adventure!

The Tearoom at Thorp Perrow serves hot and cold meals, ice-cream, beer, wine and snacks.

Lots of healthy wholesome food available.

The Hocus Pocus plant centre provides a wide range of plants and shrubs for you to take home and plant in your garden. Our souvenir shop has a wide selection of arts and crafts from the local area.

Disabled and easy access loos as well as baby changing facilities are available for all visitors.

Our staff will be happy to help any visitors who require milk warming.

Thorp Perrow is on the Bedale to Ripon road, just south of Bedale, North Yorkshire, some 4 miles from Leeming Bar on the A1.
