Then centre operates with families in mind and children can meet hundreds of ducks, geese, swans and flamingos in a parkland setting. The centre is currently undergoing extensive redevelopment with new wetland areas due for completion in mid 2006. The Splash Zone is a play area specifically designed for the under 6s. Children's activities run during holidays. Downy Duckling Days (end of May to mid July) offer behind the scene tours of our waterfowl nursery.

Bring a change of clothes if children are to really explore the splash zone. Allow 1-2 hours for a visit with pre-school children. Older children can easily spend 3-4 hours exploring the centre.
