Attraction Information
Steeped in myths and legends, tucked away high in the ancient Cambrian Mountains, the Silver Mountain Experience features tumbling streams, mysterious feeling forests and long abandoned mine workings that will take you on an atmospheric journey through the very mists of time!
For younger members of the family kids can be let loose to experience the full magic of Woo Hoo Wood and also explore the tunnels where the Grovels live... Whether making dens in the trees, building dams over in the stream or playing with the intriguing waterwheels in the Silver River play area there's plenty to do for the whole family, whatever the weather!
Walk the Miners' Trail to see, hear and feel the history all around you. Start with their Silver Mine exhibition and then explore in full this award winning site at your leisure, following in the footsteps of those brave miners from so very long ago. And don't forget to have a go at gem panning!
Dare your teenagers enter the dreaded Black Chasm? Rated 12A, this is Wales' scariest underground experience, where your worst nightmares will become reality mwahahaha! Beware of the Coblynau, Morgens, Orcs and others that dwell in the darkness. Not for those of a nervous disposition and absolutely not for under 12s, but it might give your mouthy 13 year old a nice pause for thought!
