The Royal Yacht Britannia was home to Her Majesty The Queen and the Royal Family for over 40 years.
Now one of the UK’s Top Attractions, all 5 decks are fully accessible for wheelchair users and pushchairs, what’s more parking is free. The complimentary audio guide is available in 27 languages and children also have their own version.
Explore the stunning Royal Apartments, the gleaming Engine Room and sample some fudge made on board from the NAFFI sweet shop or see below decks where the Royal Yachtsmen lived.

We do strongly suggest you contact The Royal Yacht Britannia before you set off on your family day out, just to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices, as there is nothing worse than disappointed kids in the back of your car after a long journey.

The Royal Yacht Britannia hosts the wonderful Royal Deck Tea Room. Serving a range of soups, sandwiches, cakes, teas and coffees all with a wonderful view across the Firth of Forth. High chairs are available.
Our Royal Deck Tea Room caters for special dietary requirements including Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Coeliac and those with Nut Allergies. Please speak to a member of the waiting staff to discuss your requirements.

Toilets and disabled toilets are available both in the Visitor Centre and aboard the ship. Baby changing facilities are also available on board and in the visitors centre.

The Royal Yacht Britannia, Ocean Terminal, Leith, Edinburgh EH6 6JJ, Scotland. Just 15 minutes' drive from Edinburgh city centre. The Visitor Centre is in Ocean Terminal on the second floor. Travelling by bike? Leave the car at home and cycle along the traffic-free Water of Leith. Bike racks outside Ocean Terminal. For satnav, our postcode is EH6 6JJ. Follow signs for Edinburgh and Leith, or North Edinburgh. Then follow brown Britannia signs. Free parking at Ocean Terminal (blue car park, level E is nearest to our Visitor Centre and has disabled spaces). Travelling by plane? Britannia is approximately 40 minutes' drive from Edinburgh Airport. There are also bus and train options.

Buggies are welcomed on board Britannia. All but the widest double buggies will have full access to the Britannia tour (max width 670mm). The self guided audio tour takes approximately 1 to 2 hour however extra time will be required if visiting the Royal Deck Tea Room en route.
