The Play Mill offers other activities as well as those listed above.

During term time there is Drama on Monday mornings, Dancing on Tuesday afternoons and Storytime every other Wednesday around lunchtime.

Our other speciality is children’s parties for birthdays or other occasions. These can be booked either for weekends, after School or during the day. The cost includes invitations, food (hot or cold), party bags and balloons. We can cater for most dietary requirements if necessary

The Play Mill offers good home cooked food from an extensive menu, which includes, cottage pie, fish pie, chilli, curry and soups. Tasty snacks include paninis, toasties, and jacket potatos. All served with a side salad. Children can have smaller portions or choose from their own menu. Homemade cakes are our speciality.

Only food bought at the centre may be eaten on the premises.

As all our food is cooked on the premises we know exactly what each meal contains and can cater for vegetarians, vegans or those with other requirements, e.g. gluten, egg or dairy free.

We have disabled toilet facilities and have toddler seats in our ladies and gents toilets. The baby changing facility is in the disabled toilet.

We are happy to warm baby food or milk in a microwave or provide hot water if the customer prefers. We sell tinned foods or can cook a baby’s meal if that is required.

The Play Mill lies on the B5012 (Cromford-Newhaven road) by the turning for Bonsall and is accessed from the A6 at Cromford. The 158 buses can be taken from Matlock and will stop a few yards past the Centre.
