The Manchester Museum is part of The University of Manchester and can be found on the University's Oxford Road campus (in a very impressive gothic-style building).

Visit The Manchester Museum's cafe, run by Couture, for tasty local and fair-trade food and drink. Choose from a wide range of hot meals, salads and snacks as well as great value, healthy kids' options. Cafe opening times: Mon-Fri 8am-6pm, Sat 9am-5pm and Sun 10am-4pm. Bringing a packed lunch? You are welcome to bring your own food and eat it in our indoor picnic area.

The Manchester Museum can be found on Oxford Road in Manchester. The best way to travel to the Museum is by bus or train. If you prefer to come to The Manchester Museum when itâs a bit quieter, we recommend coming after 3pm or first thing in the morning. Access to The Manchester Museum is: - Step free, with an automatic door. - Lift access to all floors. - Accessible toilets located throughout the Museum. - Guide and hearing dogs are welcome and water bowls are available from the Information Desk. - Disabled parking spaces are also available. - Induction loops in lecture theatres Available from the information desk: - Free wheelchairs available to borrow. - Tactile maps (with Braille and large print labels) - includes a tactile tour and description of floor surfaces. - Large print maps. - Large print and Braille copies of our events guide. - Audio guides featuring a general description of the whole Museum and detailed descriptions of the Ancient Egypt and Pre-historic Life galleries are available.
