The Lowry

"what are we doing today?"

The Lowry is full of colourful things to see and do.

Kids love The Lowry’s bright orange staircases, sloping blue floors and purple and glass walls but it also has lots of secret corners waiting to be discovered.

Pick up the free Hide and Seek Trail and go on a journey of discovery, or join one of our Family Building Tours on the last Sunday of every month (Free Family Sunday) and Bank Holiday Mondays at 10.30am and 11.30am.

In the Galleries, enjoy art by LS Lowry and others in a changing exhibitions programme. Follow the picture clues on our free Art Detectives Trail to help you explore the exhibitions and don’t miss the Meet Mr Lowry 20-minute film.

Family Corner on The Deck is especially for under 5s to draw, read, play and display their works of art.

The Lowry has three theatres with lots of Children’s shows and puppet shows, plus a very popular Christmas pop panto.

We’ve got regular weekend art and drama workshops and special holiday activities or courses.

Get ready for an extraordinary experience.

Family teas can be booked via Box Office on 0870 787 5780 or the restaurant on 0161 876 2121 and are based on two adults and two children.
