About The Jacobite Steam Train

From the highest mountain in Britain (Ben Nevis) to Britain’s most westerly station (Arisaig) you’ll be treated to plenty of incredible sights on the Jacobite Steam Train.

What You'll See

On your journey, you’ll pass Britain's deepest freshwater loch (Loch Morar) and the shortest river the country has to offer (River Morar). You’ll also get to pass Loch Nevis, Fort William and venture into the fishing port, Mallaig, on a delightful one and a half hour stop over.

Your children will especially enjoy crossing the 21 arches of the Glenfinnan viaduct, which most kids, and adults too, will recognise as the route to Hogwarts from the Harry Potter films!

This is a wonderfully rounded day out which is excellent for children and also one that's easy on the grandparents! Be sure to take a camera or two because there will be plenty of moments that you’ll never want to forget.
