Visit Endless Oceans where 2.5 million litres of water and 87 tonnes of salt make this display home to some of the most incredible animals in the sea. Watch out for the green sawfish, giant rays and a whole host of other sharks!
Catch our dive show here at 2pm. It tells the amazing story of the worlds oceans. Walk through our underwater viewing tunnel and see our amazing animals swim over your head. Finally rise up through the 10 metre tank in our famous glass lift or take a walk up the scenic stairs.
See our newest residents, a colony of Gentoo penguins in their new home. These loveable animals have taken up residence in the Kingdom of Ice and will help to teach visitors about threats to their habitat, ocean acidification and climate change as well as food chains and animal biology.

It may be worth checking out The Deep's website to see if there are any special events or seasonal fun things to do that may be going on during the day.
We do strongly suggest you contact The Deep before you set off on your family day out, just to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices, as there is nothing worse than disappointed kids in the back of your car after a long journey.
Open daily from 10am to 6pm (last entry at 5pm).
Closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
The cafe is open all year round from 10am to 5pm. Breakfast is served until 11am with hot lunches from 11.30am. There is also a selection of sandwiches and snacks available throughout the day. The Deep also opens the Halfway Cafe in peak times which serves hot and cold drinks and snacks. There are also picnic areas both inside and outside should visitors want to bring their own food.
Salad bar available and all dietary requirements can be catered for. Please ask staff for more details.

The Deepartment store stocks a wide range of products to suit all budgets and ages including soft toys, books, pottery, souvenirs, sweets and cards. We also stock a number of fair trade items.

Toilets are available on all floors (including disabled toilets).

The Deep offers a warming station for baby food. Please ask staff should you need additional help.
"are we there yet?"
Follow the M62 East and then A63 to Hull City Centre. Follow brown tourist signs to The Deep. From the rail station, it is approximately a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute taxi ride. Taxi's are available outside the train station.
...got any top tips?
During term time (Monday to Friday) The Deep can get quite busy with school groups, so if you would like a less busy environment, please arrive after 2pm when the school children have gone home.
Join us this May half term (28 May to 5 June) and learn about the amazing wildlife in your area as The Deep celebrates all things local. Enjoy talks from local wildlife experts and learn how to make a bug hotel and butterfly feeder! There is fun for all with craft and trail activities
