The Ark Poole Park: Poole’s brand new family activity centre for all ages!
The brainchild of local couple Richard and Sarah de Lisle, The Ark has been developed specifically for busy families wanting fun, high quality structured and free-play activities in a modern, clean and relaxed setting.
Situated at the heart of Poole Park in Dorset and just 10 minutes from Bournemouth, The Ark is next to the lake and within easy walking distance of the Dolphin Shopping Centre. The Ark (formerly Central Park) offers a dedicated toddlers' soft play area, an adventure frame for 3 to 11 year olds, an interactive ball pool zone, an indoor real ice rink and specially designed rooms for children’s parties and other structured activities.
The Ark includes an ice cream parlour and a café with a menu of homemade food and snacks, freshly roasted and ground coffee from local company Beanpress (Little Red Roaster), complimentary newspapers and magazines and free wi-fi. The Ark cafe offers the perfect place to relax whilst your children are having fun!

It may be worth checking out The Ark Poole Park's website to see if there are any special events or seasonal fun things to do that may be going on during the day.
We do strongly suggest you contact The Ark Poole Park before you set off on your family day out, just to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices, as there is nothing worse than disappointed kids in the back of your car after a long journey.
2016 Opening Details:

We are two hours away from London (M3, M27), 40 minutes from Southampton (M27) and 10 minutes from Bournemouth. Travelling west on the M27 the road becomes the A31 to bypass Ringwood, Ferndown and Wimborne Minster. Remain on the bypass until reaching the roundabout junction signposted the A349 Poole town centre and ferry port. Follow the A349 and ferry signs until reaching the roundabout signposted the A350 Poole town centre. This roundabout has the Poole Fairway marker buoy in the centre of it. Turn left here onto the A350 (Holes Bay Road). Follow the dual carriageway which skirts the bay. At the next roundabout at the end of Holes Bay road turn left onto the flyover and move to the right hand lane. At the next roundabout turn right and within a minute you will see the Lighthouse art centre, keep going to the next roundabout, take the second right turn and you will enter Poole Park. Carefully does it over the speed humps and watch out for the ducks! Keep going along the park road and within a few minutes you will see The Ark.
