Tate Modern

"what are we doing today?"

At Tate Modern, you can join the Start workshops every weekend or Tuesday - Sunday throughout August.

At the gallery you can also pick up a free art trail that acts as a fun guide through the artworks. These activities are always free, always fun and most importantly, they encourage children's creativity and enjoyment of art.

The permanent collection at Tate Modern is always free to visit, and at Tate all children under 12 gain free access to our special exhibitions when accompanied by a paying adult.

If you need a break from the art, Tate is also currently running a lunchtime offer until the end of August where kids can eat for free in Tate Modern's Cafe 2 or the Tate Modern Restaurant.

"i'm hungry"

Tate is currently running a lunchtime offer where kids can eat for free in Tate Modern Café 2 or the Tate Modern Restaurant. The main course from the kids menu is free when an accompanying adult purchases a main course from the respective a la carte menu.

This offer is valid at lunchtimes only, for children aged 12 or under, and is for one child eating with an accompanying adult in either the Tate Modern Café 2 or Tate Modern Restaurant.

The offer is available until 30 August 2009 and subject to availability.

"Can I have one of those?"

The main shop on Level 1 combines the widest range in the UK of books on modern art and culture with a fantastic choice for children and a stunning display of merchandise.

"i need a wee"

We have baby changing facilities at each site and all our galleries have cloakrooms with buggy parking.

"are we there yet?"
