Swithens Farm and Play Barn
Swithens Farm Play Barn is a bright and colourful kids' indoor activity centre, set handily beside the Open Farm and suitable for kids up to 10 years old.
The Barn offers a cool combination of deep ball pools with swinging, climbing and sliding apparatus for your little monkeys to go bananas on! Play is unlimited unless they're really busy when it's restricted to 2 hours simply so everyone on site can get a turn to play. You can also book a party here if you like which includes an hour's play, tasty homemade treats and a guided tour of the farm. Lovely!
The Open Farm gives you the chance to meet, feed and pet a wealth of friendly and well-loved animals! The animals you can visit vary slightly depending on the season, but they generally include cows and their calves, pigs and their piglets, donkeys, fluffy rabbits, ducks and geese, a Shetland pony and 2 micro-pigs: cuuute!
They try for a totally family friendly atmosphere, offering as much interaction with the beasties as possible with bags of carrots and apples available from the Farm Shop and chances to bottlefeed the lambs every spring! You can also milk the udderly convincing wooden cow Shirley, too!

It may be worth checking out Swithens Farm and Play Barn's website to see if there are any special events or seasonal fun things to do that may be going on during the day.
We do strongly suggest you contact Swithens Farm and Play Barn before you set off on your family day out, just to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices, as there is nothing worse than disappointed kids in the back of your car after a long journey.

Visited today what an amazing little find. This place was wonderful, meerkat, cows & calves, sheep & lambs, pigs and piglets - even witnessed a batch of 7 piglets being born, llamas, rabbits, chickens, outdoor play area, indoor play area, cafe, what a place to let children explore, catered for babies, toddlers, mums and dads and in our case grandma and grandad too. The staff were amazing, very informative when asking for info on the animals. Will be taking the time to visit again.

Been twice and both times been disappointed. Not a lot of animals and the ones that are there don't look very looked after. Food in cafe was nice but had to pay again on top of farm to go in indoor play area.
