Sulgrave Manor
Sulgrave Manor is a historical house built around the time of Shakespeare.
The Manor hosts the largest collection of George Washington memorabilia in the UK, which can be viewed on one of our excellent guided tours around the house, visiting the Great Hall, the Kitchen and the Bedchamber. We have a lovely garden with an area where kids can play with some traditional games. No 'keep off the grass' signs!Run around and spot some rather large 'ladybirds'! Follow the other trails and collect a sticker for everyone. If all this playing makes you hungry then visit our Buttery for a selection of healthy sandwiches, cakes and snacks while doing a brass rubbing, making a bookmark or sorting out Henry 8's wives! During Half Term weeks (Monday-Friday) there are Children's Tours every day.
In addition to this, on Family Holiday Mondays kids can dress up and meet Mr Washington! Visit the school room and avoid the birch. We also host special events throughout the year. Follow the dragon trail on St George's Day. Egg rolling and egg hunt on Easter Monday. Hold a bald eagle at the Independence Day celebration or hug a husky at our Apple Day. Hear stories of past customs at Yuletide.
Visit the Sulgrave Manor Buttery for a selection of teas, freshly brewed coffee, soft drinks and tempting soups, sandwiches, tea cakes, homemade cakes, snacks and ice creams.
We offer sandwiches which come with a small side salad or toasted bagels. We provide vegetarian options and gluten free.
A variety of pocket money items, Children's activity pack, Sulgrave Manor branded gifts, toys, ornaments and plants from the garden. Herb Society goods as well.
